Piyush Goel India's first mirror image writer

Every remarkable success story begins with a moment of struggle — a turning point where life demands either surrender or reinvention. The story of Piyush Goel, born on 10th February 1967, is one such extraordinary journey of courage, innovation, and an unshakeable will to rise above all odds.

Today, the world knows him as “The Mirror Image Writer of India,” the man who created the world’s first mirror image of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. But behind this achievement lies a deeply personal journey defined by resilience, creativity, and a relentless drive to do something the world has never seen before.

Early Life & Education of Piyush Goel: A Foundation Built on Discipline

Raised by Smt. Ravi Kanta Goel and Dr. Devendra Kumar Goel, Piyush grew up in an environment that valued learning and discipline. He completed:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

  • Diploma in Material Management

  • Diploma in Vastu Shastra

A strong technical background shaped him professionally — but destiny had prepared something entirely different for him.

The Accident That Changed Everything

In the year 2000, Piyush Goel met with a serious accident. Life suddenly paused. While recovering, he found solace in reading the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.

It was during this time that a thought, almost divine in nature, struck him —“Why not do something unique? Something that has never been attempted before?”

One verse became the spark of a new beginning:

"नर हो, न निराश करो मन कोकुछ काम करो, कुछ काम करोजग में रह कर कुछ नाम करो।"— मैथिलीशरण गुप्त

Inspired and energised, Piyush decided to attempt something unimaginable: writing an entire scripture in mirror image.

Creating History: The First Mirror-Image Bhagavad Gita

What began as an experiment turned into a monumental achievement.

Piyush Goel hand-wrote:

  • 18 chapters

  • 700 verses

  • In both Hindi and English

  • Completely in mirror-image format

A person reading it without a mirror sees unfamiliar symbols. But when the book faces a mirror, every word emerges clearly — almost magically.

This masterpiece made him the first person in the world to create a mirror-image Bhagavad Gita. A historic accomplishment that placed him among India’s most innovative creative minds.

A Creator of Impossible Works

Once Piyush Goel discovered his artistic language, he went far beyond ordinary boundaries. He created 18+ unique books, each using a never-before-seen method.

1. Madhushala — Written With a Needle

To break the dependency on mirrors, Piyush wrote Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s Madhushala with a needle — every word carved patiently over 2–2.5 months. Pages were folded uniquely, making mirror reading unnecessary.

2. Gitanjali — Written with a Mehndi Cone

He recreated Rabindranath Tagore’s Nobel-winning Gitanjali using henna, combining literature with traditional Indian artistry.

3. Panchatantra — On Reversed Carbon Paper

He flipped the carbon sheet so one side appeared in mirror image and the other read normally — a technique never done before.

4. Piyush Vaani — On Aluminium Sheet Using an Iron Nail

After the needle experiment, he challenged himself further, writing an entire book by hammering letters onto an aluminium sheet.

His works include:

  • Shrimad Bhagavad Gita (Hindi & English)

  • Sri Durga Saptasati

  • Sri Sai Satcharitra

  • Sundarkand

  • Ramcharitmanas (selected parts)

  • Madhushala (Needle)

  • Gitanjali (Mehndi)

  • Panchatantra (Carbon Paper)

  • Piyush Vaani (Aluminium Nail Art & Transparent Sheets)

  • Meri Ikkyavan Kavitayein

  • Chanakya Niti

  • Ganesh Stotram (Fluid Pen)

  • Rashmirathi (in progress using colour pencils)

Every creation is a blend of devotion, art, patience, and technical brilliance.
